韦丹文

韦丹文，中央音乐学院钢琴系主任、教授。四岁开始学琴，九岁第一次公开演出，十二岁进入著名的中央音乐学院附中学习。在李其芳教授悉心教导下，十七岁获“珠江奖”全国钢琴比赛第一名。1983年韦丹文考入中央音乐学院钢琴系。次年赴美留学，于1992年毕业于纽约著名的茱莉亚音乐学院。

作为职业演奏家及施坦威全球艺术家，韦丹文的足迹遍布美国和欧亚数十个国家，举行过数百场音乐会。曾先后与众多著名乐团，诸如：纽约爱乐乐团、明尼苏达交响乐团、西雅图交响乐团、圣路易斯交响乐团、纽约室内乐团、新加坡交响乐团、香港爱乐乐团、中国交响乐团、上海交响乐团、广州交响乐团等协作演出。一九九一年，韦丹文尚在校就读时，就被著名指挥家祖宾梅塔选中与纽约爱乐乐团合作，于林肯中心莫扎特逝世二百周年系列纪念音乐会开幕式上演出，获得巨大成功。

回国任教后，韦丹文的学生多次在包括日内瓦国际音乐比赛、法国玛格丽特•隆、柴科夫斯基国际钢琴比赛、苏格兰国际钢琴比赛和中国音乐金钟奖等国际和国内比赛中获奖。韦丹文是沈阳音乐学院特聘教授、中国音乐学院、西安音乐学院和温州大学客座教授、天津音乐学院荣誉教授。除教授钢琴外，韦丹文近年来又涉入指挥领域，2013年-2019年担任Perugia国际音乐节常任指挥。现任两岸（福州）艺术青年钢琴艺术节主席及首席指挥。

Danwen Wei

Danwen Wei is the Chair of Piano and Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, China. He began learning the piano at the age of four, gave his first public performance at the age of nine, and entered the prestigious affiliated middle school of the Central Conservatory of Music at the age of twelve. Under the tutelage of Professor Qifang Li, he won first place in the “Pearl River Award” National Piano Competition at the age of seventeen. In 1983, Danwen Wei was admitted to the piano major of the Central Conservatory of Music. The following year, he continued his studies in the United States, ultimately graduating from the renowned New York Juilliard School in 1992.

As a professional pianist and Steinway Artist, Danwen Wei has captivated audiences with hundreds of performances across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has collaborated with numerous prestigious orchestras, including New York Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, New York Chamber Orchestra, Singa-pore Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. Notably, in 1991, while still a student, he was selected by maestro Zubin Mehta to perform with the New York Philharmonic at the opening ceremony of the Mozart 200th Anniversary Memorial Concert at Lincoln Center, which garnered significant acclaim.

After returning to teach in China, Danwen Wei's students have won numerous awards at international and domestic competitions, including the Geneva International Music Competition, the Marguerite Long Competition (France), the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition, the Scotland International Piano Competition, and the China Music Golden Bell Award. He is also a distinguished professor at Shenyang Conservatory of Music and serves as a visiting professor at the China Conservatory of Music, Xi'an Conservatory of Music, and Wenzhou University, as well as an honorary professor at Tianjin Conservatory of Music. In addition to his teaching, Danwen Wei has recently expanded his artistic endeavors into conducting, serving as the resident conductor of the Perugia International Music Festival from 2013 to 2019. Currently, he holds the position of chair and chief conductor of the Cross-Strait (Fuzhou) Youth Pianists Festival.
